During my time in LA, I knew I needed to create something before the summer was over. So I came up with Do You Love Her Now, a music video directed, written and edited by me, currently in post production.
Starring Catarina Ocasio and Jovani Ibrahim, Do You Love Her Now is a story of the unspoken, wasted potential, and finding love in your twenties in the city of angels.
In Summer of 2025, I had the absolute pleasure of interning at Warner Bros. Discovery in Burbank, CA.
While my internship was focused in digital post production with the US Networks department, I was able to interact with many other departments including development, post production, audio, production, studio operations, art and more.
Here are just a few photos from my wonderful time at WBD.
I previously worked as first AC, gaffer, and editor for a 30-minute short film by Lightwood Studios, Eyes Eyes Eyes Eyes. Watch the film below (initial volume warning) and check out my profile on IMDb.
I am also co-director of Playin’ Games (2025), currently in post-production, and director of the MINDER magazine, Lightwood’s premiere editorial publication.
As co-director of Playin’ Games, I had to also step into the role of cinematographer as our original DP was unable to assist with the film.
Here are some of my favorite shots. The reel does not include external audio.
I worked as a Production Assistant for Lioness Den Productions’ live table reading of Whatever Happened to Baby J? written by Victoria Male and starring Jodie Sweetin and Drew Seeley.
During my summer in LA, I worked on a three-day short film set as a production assistant. During that time, I helped the art department with setup and takedown of shots and resetting the location after wrap. I also helped with script supervision, reviewing for continuity and noting best takes.
Back home in Durham, NC, I had the opportunity to work on another three-day film set for the short film, BiKE, currently in post production. I spent my time supporting camera with setting up lighting, composition and equipment as well as monitoring continuity as script supervisor.
Cat’s Cradle is a notable music venue in Carrboro, NC, where legends live Nirvana, A Tribe Called Quest and more have performed in its more than 50 years of operation.
For my final project in my class, MEJO 333, I filmed and edited a nearly 2-minute promotional video of Cat’s Cradle. The video features venue manager Alison Giudice, NYC-based band Monobloc and student bands from UNC-Chapel Hill and Duke University. Check it out!
As part of my internship with Durham Magazine, Chapel Hill Magazine, Chatham Magazine, and The Triangle Weekender (all under the Triangle Media Partners umbrella), I have captured and edited video reels for their social pages that have received up to 10k+ views. Linked behind the logos to the right are a few reels that I have created for the magazines.
During my summer in LA, I wanted to gain more experience outside of independent film/video sets. So, I was able to reach out to some people and gain some experience shadowing on larger TV sets!
I shadowed a Warner Bros. Discovery exec and producers on set and in the control room for an unscripted TBS show (that I can’t disclose).
I also spent a day shadowing in the writer’s room, on set and at a table read for the CBS’ The Neighborhood, starring Cedric the Entertainer.
Burgess Consultative Group is a family-owned and operated business in the child welfare and foster care spaces that seeks to help companies optimize their resources and skills in those areas. As BCG’s Marketing Manager, I designed the logo, website, and LinkedIn page. I also produce videos in partnership with Foster Family Alliance of North Carolina.
One of the main aspects of Foster Family Alliance’s mission is to encourage more adults to become licensed foster parents in North Carolina to support the thousands of children in our system and give them a home. I created this video to allow a foster family to tell their story and encourage others to give children hope in the same way. Some original video quality may have been lost due to file size reduction on YouTube.
In celebration of National Kinship Awareness Month in September, I directed and edited a three-minute video interviewing kinship caregivers and giving them the space to share their stories. I created this project with the goal of raising awareness for kinship care and expanding upon the reach of Foster Family Alliance’s resources for caregivers. Some original video quality may have been lost due to file size reduction on YouTube.
I produced, directed, and edited this video to promote Foster Family Alliance and highlight their impact on thousands of families across North Carolina. I spoke to parents and families who have utilized the organization’s resources and been personally affected by FFA’s work. Some original video quality may have been lost due to file size reduction on YouTube.
This May, Burgess Consultative Group hosted Teaming with Teens alongside SaySo (Strong Able Youth Speaking Out) and Foster Family Alliance of North Carolina. Teaming with Teens is an annual conference that equips hundreds of foster care professionals, parents, and youth with resources and community to help them thrive. On the left is the video overviewing the event, featuring keynote speakers and presenters like author and influencer Peter Mutabazi (@fosterdadflipper on Instagram and Tiktok) and Lisa Cauley, Senior Director of Child, Family, and Adult Services for the NCDHHS. On the right is the video trailer for the conference. To see images from the event, please navigate to this site’s photography tab! As part of my coursework for Communications 130: Introduction to Media Production, I directed, filmed, and edited Portrait of Manny Collazo, a 2.5 minute mini documentary telling a story from the life of Manny Collazo, from the cast of Lightwood’s Eyes Eyes Eyes Eyes. Some original video quality may have been lost due to file size reduction on YouTube.
For Media and Journalism 121: Digital Storytelling, I produced, filmed, and edited this 2-minute mini-documentary detailing one student’s experience of the fatal gun violence that devastated UNC-Chapel Hill’s campus in the Fall of 2023. Some original video quality may have been lost due to file size reduction on YouTube.
For more information on the story, please see the Digital Storytelling page of this site.
As Heally’s Director of Marketing, my job is to highlight our company from behind-the-scenes with weekly videos from our CEO, Jo Ayinde. This is our first Heally Weekly video- a day in the life as a CEO/college student. Some original video quality may have been lost due to file size reduction on YouTube.
Here are a few experimental projects I created using Adobe Illustrator and AfterEffects.
